Having traversed an expansive musical landscape through its first five years, in 2008 Music@Menlo renewed the journey begun in the festival's inaugural season with fresh inspiration, optimism, and enthusiasm. Expanding on the scope of the 2003 season's chronological survey of the chamber music literature, The Unfolding of Music II showcases a musical tour of the last five centuries, from the early Baroque to the music of our time. The 2008 edition of Music@Menlo LIVE offers five newly assembled programs of the summer's unforgettable performances, with each recording presenting a microcosm of the rich historical journey taken over the course of the festival's sixth season.
