Artist Bio

Inbal Segev, cello

Israeli-American cellist Inbal Segev has appeared with such leading orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, and Pittsburgh Symphony, collaborating with conductors that include Marin Alsop, Lorin Maazel, and Zubin Mehta. She has commissioned new works from Timo Andres, Anna Clyne, and Dan Visconti; has cocurated the Baltimore Symphony’s New Music Festival since its inception; and is a cofounder of the Amerigo Trio with violinist Glenn Dicterow and violist Karen Dreyfus. Her discography includes albums of Bach’s Cello Suites and of concertos recorded with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their three teenage kids.
