Taiwanese violinist Lucy Lu is currently pursuing her Artist Diploma at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she studies with Martin Beaver. She has won first prize in two of Taiwan’s national violin competitions, including First Prize in the violin division of the National Student Music Competition and the Kaohsiung Music Competition. She was also a semi-finalist of the X International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. In 2019, Lu was selected through a rigorous audition process organized by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and was invited to perform with the orchestra in 2020. A dedicated chamber musician, she has attended festivals including the Young Performers Program of Music@Menlo and the Young Artist Program of Yellow Barn. Lu has been participating in the Taiwan Connection since 2021.
