Artist Bio

Sunmi Chang, violin/viola

As the laureate of both the 2007 International Markneukirchen and Sion Valais International Violin Competitions, violinist/violist Sunmi Chang has performed worldwide to much acclaim as a soloist and chamber musician. An active chamber musician, Chang won First Prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition and has collaborated with many renowned artists. Currently she plays with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, having won a position there in 2009. Chang is a faculty member of Music@Menlo’s 2015 Chamber Music Institute Young Performers Program.
