Artist Bio

Yeri Roh, violin

Violinist Yeri Roh, a native of South Korea, is a recipient of top prizes from the Busan Maru International Festival and Concerto Competition, Strad Concours, Journal of Music Competition, and Korea-Germany Brahms Association Competition. Ms. Roh was selected to join the Juilliard Orchestra and Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra Tour with Esa-Pekka Salonen, performing in Helsinki Music Centre and Berwaldhallen in Stockholm. She has been invited to participate in the Academia Internacional de Musica de Solsona, Heifetz International Music Institute, Singapore Violin Festival, Music Academy of the West, and Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and School. Ms. Roh has participated in the Leonidas Kavakos International Violin Masterclass in Athens, and played for violinists Rachel Podger, Pamela Frank, Glenn Dicterow, Frank Huang, Martin Beaver, and Victor Danchenko. She has performed with Sejong Soloists in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall and Seoul Arts Center in Korea, and as a soloist, Ms. Roh performed with Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble under the baton of Barak Tal in Korea. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Hyo Kang, Adele Anthony, and Sylvia Rosenberg. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Stony Brook University studying with Hagai Shaham, Philip Setzer, and the Emerson String Quartet.
