Subscriptions and Special Discounts

Summer Festival Subscribers: Save 5 percent (Mini Subscribers) or 10 percent (Full Subscribers) on all ticket purchases throughout the 2016 summer festival when you purchase tickets to four or more ticketed festival concerts or Encounters.

Summer Immersion Subscribers (those who purchase tickets to all summer festival Concert Programs and Encounters): Receive a 10 percent discount on your tickets throughout the summer, a 10 percent discount on Music@Menlo merchandise, and a complimentary boxed set of the 2016 Music@Menlo LIVE CDs when they are released later in the year.

Discounted Tickets for Those Under Age Thirty: Music@Menlo is committed to making tickets available at a greatly reduced rate for audience members under the age of thirty. Proof of age is required

Ticket Exchanges

We welcome ticket returns for a credit, exchange, or donation. You may return your ticket up to twenty-four hours prior to a performance for a ticket credit (to be used within the same season; credits not used within the same season will become a tax-deductible donation to Music@Menlo), an immediate exchange, or a tax-deductible donation. Ticket exchanges are complimentary for Summer Festival Subscribers and Members of the Bach Circle ($1,000) and above. All other exchanges are subject to a $3-per-ticket exchange fee.

Proof of the return must be provided by returning the original tickets or tearing them in half and sending an image of the torn tickets by fax, scan, or digital photograph. To exchange or donate your tickets, please call Patron Services at 650-331-0202

Ticket Donations

Tax-deductible donations are encouraged and directly support Music@Menlo’s concerts and education programs. Ticket donations are tax deductible for their full face value if they are received at least twenty-four hours prior to a performance. To donate your tickets, please call Patron Services at 650-331-0202.

Refunds

Tickets are nonrefundable, except in cases of canceled events. All programs and artists are subject to change without notice.

Ticket Replacement

Music@Menlo offers lost-ticket insurance in case you ever misplace or forget your tickets. Call Patron Services at 650-331-0202 and we will have a duplicate set waiting for you at will call.

Venues

Music@Menlo offers audiences a chance to hear great chamber music in three unique concert spaces:

  • Stent Family Hall, located on the Menlo School campus at 50 Valparaiso Avenue in Atherton *Update for summer 2016: Menlo School will be undertaking a significant construction project on the center of the campus that will impact Stent Family Hall. Stent Family Hall will not be used during the 2016 summer festival.
  • Martin Family Hall, located on the Menlo School campus at 50 Valparaiso Avenue in Atherton
  • The Center for Performing Arts at Menlo-Atherton, at 555 Middlefield Road in Atherton

Venue Information

Doors open approximately twenty-five minutes before the start time of each event. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager at an appropriate interval in the program. Food and beverages are not allowed inside the performance venues. During the summer festival, concessions are generally available for purchase outside of the concert halls. Please turn off cell phones, pagers, watch alarms, personal organizers, and all sound-emitting devices prior to the start of all events. Photography and recording of any kind are prohibited.

Will Call and Ticket Services at the Venue

Will call and on-site ticket services at each venue open one hour prior to the start of any ticketed event. Tickets for all Music@Menlo paid events may be ordered at on-site ticket services, if they are available.

Accessibility

All Music@Menlo’s performance venues are wheelchair accessible. Patrons requiring special seating accommodations should request them at the time of purchase. For any accessibility questions or requests, please contact Patron Services at 650-331-0202.

Sold-Out Events

Some of our performances sell out far in advance; however, there is always the possibility that tickets may become available because of exchanges. For this reason we offer an email-notification service to alert you if tickets become available for the performance you wish to attend. Should tickets become available, a one-time email will be sent to the email address you provide. This is a notification only—you are not guaranteed seats. Tickets must be ordered by calling Patron Services at 650-331-0202 during normal business hours. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Concerts for Families with Children

Music@Menlo is committed to providing a quality experience for patrons of all ages. However, because of the length of the concerts, they may not be appropriate for families with young children. Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers Concerts are suitable for children of all ages.

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of music! Call Patron Services at 650-331-0202 to purchase a gift certificate in any amount. To redeem your gift certificate, call Patron Services and use the gift certificate code at the top of your gift certificate.

Handling Fees

  • There is a $10 handling fee for any order totaling four or more events (Winter Series or summer concerts or Encounters). There is a $6 handling fee for any order totaling three or fewer events (Winter Series or summer concerts or Encounters).
  • Members at the Bach Circle level and above do not pay handling fees on subsequent summer festival ticket orders or exchanges.
  • Summer Festival Subscribers pay no handling fees on ticket exchanges throughout the 2016 summer festival. Subsequent new ticket purchases (not exchanges) will incur the standard $6-per-order handling fee.
  • Winter Series Subscribers pay no handling fees on ticket exchanges throughout the series. For single-ticket buyers, a $3-per-ticket handling fee applies to exchanges.

Welcome Center

Music@Menlo’s Welcome Center serves as a place for artists, students, audiences, and festival guests to connect during the festival. Visitors to the Welcome Center can purchase concert tickets and get information about the festival’s many offerings and events. Located on the Menlo School campus, the Welcome Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout the festival.

Reserving Tickets for Free Performances

Online reservations are available for Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers Concerts and can be made at www.musicatmenlo.org on the day of the event starting at 9:00 a.m. Tickets can also be requested in person at will call beginning one hour prior to the start of each concert. To make a reservation, visit www.musicatmenlo.org on the day of the event and click the “TICKETS” link on the upper right corner of the website or visit the online festival calendar. Note: Seating is by general admission. All free-ticket reservations must be claimed no later than fifteen minutes prior to the performance start time, at which time they will be released. Members of the Bach Circle enjoy advance reservations for one free concert of their choice. Members of the Beethoven Circle and above enjoy advance reservations for all free concerts.
