Summary
In 2006, Music@Menlo celebrated the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a distinctive way––concluding every festival program with a work by the composer. This program considers Mozart’s music as a point of reference within a broader musical and historical context. The idea of Mozart as a “destination” reflects the enduring presence of his work at significant moments in listeners’ lives and its reputation for balance, clarity, and expressive depth.
