Pianist Mika Sasaki is an imaginative and versatile recitalist, chamber musician, and educator based in New York City. She recently performed Amy Beach’s Piano Concerto with the InterSchool Orchestras Symphony and frequently concertizes with Ensemble Mélange, the Chameleon Arts Ensemble, the Manhattan Chamber Players, Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, and her duo partners. Her solo debut album, Obsidian: Mika Sasaki Plays Clara Schumann, was released on Yarlung Records in 2016. Festival appearances have included Music@Menlo, Caramoor, Shandelee, Tanglewood, Taos, Chigiana, PianoSonoma, Yellow Barn, and Aspen. She is an alumna of the Peabody Institute (B.M., M.M.) and Juilliard (D.M.A.), and she teaches in the evening and college divisions at Juilliard. Learn more at mikasasaki.com.
