Artist Bio

Violinist Jessica Lee, the grand prize winner of the 2005 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, was featured in the Strad as the magazine’s “pick of up-and-coming musicians.” Describing her recital on the Ravinia Rising Stars series, the Chicago Tribune said, “Lee’s breathtaking dexterity should enchant anyone within hearing distance.” Lee made her debut recital at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium in 2007 and was a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Bowers Program. A former member of the Johannes Quartet, Lee is currently Assistant Concertmaster of the Cleveland and Oregon symphony orchestras. She also serves as Head of the Violin Department at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Lee graduated with a bachelor’s degree under the tutelage of Robert Mann and Ida Kavafian. She completed her studies with Robert Mann for a master of music degree at the Juilliard School.
