The golden age of the Baroque saw musical explosions of invention across Europe. In Baroque Tableau, J. S. Bach’s classic double concerto for oboe and violin is followed by a dramatic shift in style from French luminaries Couperin and Rameau, with works by Telemann and Buxtehude providing German contrasts, and Rebel’s Les Élémens as a provocative and lively finale.
