Acclaimed by critics worldwide for his exceptional talent and magnificent tone, American violinist Chad Hoopes has established himself as a versatile performer with many of the world’s leading orchestras and ensembles. Highlights of past and present seasons include Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Brahms’s Double Concerto with cellist Jan Vogler and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Berg’s Violin Concerto with Aalborg Symfoniorkester. He also appears at festivals including the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Seattle Chamber Music Society, and Music@Menlo. Hoopes is a frequent guest of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, where he holds the Susan S. and Kenneth L. Wallach Chair. A recipient of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Career Grant, Hoopes is Professor of Violin at the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts and is a sought-after master class teacher.
