BENEFIT CONCERT & RECEPTION

8:00–10:30 p.m. / Concert & Reception
Enjoy a chamber music concert featuring alumni of the Chamber Music
Institute, with pianist and Music@Menlo Artistic Codirector Wu Han.
Following the concert, meet the musicians at a dessert and wine reception.
Tickets: $65 – Concert and dessert reception only. ($40 of each concert ticket is a tax-deductible donation.)

  • Joseph HAYDN: String Quartet in G Major, op. 77, no. 1 (1799)
  • Antonín DVOŘÁK: Slavonic Dances for Piano, Four Hands, op. 46, no. 1 (1878), and op. 72, nos. 1 and 2 (1886)
  • Dmitry SHOSTAKOVICH: Piano Quintet in g minor, op. 57 (1940)

8:00–10:30 p.m. / Concert & Reception
Enjoy a cocktail reception, followed by dinner, while listening to a panel
discussion with Ara Guzelimian, Provost and Dean of the Juilliard School
and Music@Menlo Encounter Leader, and Music@Menlo Artistic
Directors David Finckel and Wu Han. Learn about the role of Music@Menlo
in the larger context of music education worldwide. Dinner will be followed
by the Benefit Concert (see adjacent) and a dessert reception with the artists.
Tickets: $250 – Cocktails, dinner, panel discussion, concert, and dessert reception. ($210 of each dinner ticket is a tax-deductible donation.)

Music@Menlo Encounter leader, writer, and lecturer Ara Guzelimian is Provost and Dean of the Juilliard School in New York City, one of the most distinguished performing arts conservatories in the world.
