

AudioNotes Producer: Cellist, writer, and researcher Nicky Swett is a PhD student and Gates Scholar in the Department of Music at the University of Cambridge. His interests include music cognition, analysis, pedagogy, and issues of arrangement, translation, and re-composition. He is currently studying the critic and broadcaster Hans Keller’s wordless music analyses. Nicky holds degrees in Cello Performance and Comparative Literature from Northwestern University and in Psychology of Music from the University of Sheffield. He previously served as a cellist and community engagement fellow in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He has worked in administrative roles at Bowdoin International Music Festival, Luzerne Music Center, and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, where he remains a program annotator and editorial contributor.
