In violinist Bella Hristova’s 2017–2018 season, she performs Beethoven’s ten sonatas for piano and violin in a recital tour of New Zealand with Michael Houstoun, performs chamber music, and appears as soloist with orchestras nationwide. Her extensive festival appearances include Chamber Music Northwest and the Marlboro Music Festival. Her noteworthy recording Bella Unaccompanied was released on A. W. Tonegold Records, and her awards include a 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant and First Prize in the 2009 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. She attended the Curtis Institute of Music, where she worked with Ida Kavafian and Steven Tenenbom. Bella Hristova plays a 1655 Nicolò Amati violin.
