

Born in Shandong, China in 2007, Haoran Cui began his piano studies at the age of six. He went to Jinan Xiaobaihua Art School to study with Larisa Lyan in 2015. He has been continuing his studies at the Tianjin Juilliard School Pre-College division with Dr. Ching-Wen Hsiao since 2020.
Cui is a prize winner of many music competitions. In 2020, he won the second prize in Group B of the 18th. Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition and the best performance award for Chopin Waltz. In 2023, he won the fourth place in the 4th. Xiamen Music Season International Piano Competition Professional Junior Group as well as the fourth place in the 8th. Irmler International Piano Competition Professional Junior Group. He participated at the Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival. In 2024, he was accepted by the Music@Menlo Chamber Music Festival and Institute.
He is enthusiastic about chamber music. In 2022-2024 academic years, he was accepted as the youngest participant of the Tianjin Juilliard School Pre-College Chamber Music Intensive Program, collaborating with members from the MILA String Quartet and receiving long-term coachings from Natalia Katyukova, Honggang Li and Weicong Zhang. He has studied chamber music with Allie Yuying Su, Siyao Li and Konstantinos Valianatos. He has also worked with Ian Swenson, Angelo Xiang Yu, Qing Jiang and Andrew Tyson. In addition, Cui has given numbers of solo recitals and performed in various concert halls, including Chengdu City Concert Hall, Shandong Provincial Capital Grand Treater, Tianjin Grand Theater, Hongtai Concert Hall, Tianjin Juilliard Concert Hall, Anglican Art Center, among others.
