

Claire, age 15, is a freshman at Henry M. Gunn High School in Palo Alto, California and is a pre-college student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). She started learning the piano at the age of 5 and is currently studying with Professor Corey McVicar. Claire has achieved numerous awards throughout her early career. Recently she won 1st place at the 2024 Pacific Musical Society & Foundation competition. She was named Laureate in the 2023 Ross McKee Foundation Piano Competition and a finalist in the 18th Ettlingen International Piano Competition (Germany). She also won first place in several competitions, including the ENKOR International Music Competition, United States International Music Competition and United States Open Music Competition. Additionally, She was also a prizewinner in the Artciál International Piano Competition, the International Grande Music Competition, LA International Liszt Competition with the Best Performance Award of Paganini Etude, and LA Young Musician International Competition. Claire has performed in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Garrick Ohlsson, Jon Nakamatsu, and HieYon Choi.
Claire is passionate about chamber music and has been an active chamber musician. She participated in chamber music under SFCM. Notably, her chamber team achieved 2nd place in the ENKOR International Music Competition and received the SFCM Chamber Music Award.
Outside of competitions and academic pursuits, Claire shares her musical talent with the local community. She regularly performs at the senior center bringing joy through her music to seniors. Additionally, she and her chamber team in the Bello Ensemble participate in annual concerts to support underprivileged areas.
