

Avery Armstrong has studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College Division since the age of six, where she began with Annamarie McCarthy and currently studies with Chia-Lin Yang.
She has participated in numerous international competitions and has been the Grand and First Prize winner of the American Soloist International Music Competition, Young Soloist International Music Competition, United States International Music Competition, Chicago International Music Competition, KAMSA Competition, International New Star Piano Competition. Prodigy International Music Competition, New York Laureate International Music Competition, New York International Young Musician Competition, and others.
She especially enjoys making music with others. She has performed as a soloist with the Central Oregon Symphony and enjoys participating in many chamber music groups. This summer she will be honored to join Muisc@Menlo.
Aside from piano, she enjoys reading books, playing chess with friends, table tennis, singing, biology and is a national math competition winner. In her free time, she likes to volunteer at local animal shelters to help rescue animals and find them new homes.
