Jenni Seo, viola

Korean violist Jenni Seo is a compelling and versatile soloist and chamber and orchestral musician known for her rich sound and artistic integrity. A current member of the Baltimore Symphony for the 2017–2018 season, she has performed extensively across the United States in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Walt Disney Hall. She is a frequent substitute with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and New York City Ballet orchestras and makes reoccurring appearances at the Music@Menlo, Montecito, Bad Leonfelden, Keuka Lake, and Perlman Music Program festivals. Seo has appeared onstage alongside Itzhak Perlman, Lynn Harrell, Donald Weilerstein, and David Finckel, as well as members of the Cleveland, Takács, and Juilliard string quartets, and she has been presented by the WQXR Midday Masterpieces series and the Harvard Club of New York and at the Neue Galerie. The winner of the 2011 ASTA National Solo Competition, Jenni Seo received her bachelor and master of music degrees as the recipient of multiple scholarships from the Juilliard School and studied with Cynthia Phelps, Heidi Castleman, and Steven Tenenbom. She served as Principal Viola of the Juilliard Orchestra.
