Artist Bio

Michael Davidman, piano

Michael Davidman started piano at five years old. In 2005 he began studying piano with Efrem Briskin at Manhattan School of Music precollege and conducting with both Jonathan Strasser and David Gilbert. At eighteen years of age, he has won over two dozen awards. Some accolades include several first prizes in competitions, scholarships with the Chopin Foundation of the United States, NPR’s “From the Top” radio program, and appearances on WQXR the Robert Sherman Show. Michael has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall, Symphony Space, Merkin Hall, DiMenna Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and recitals in Italy, Spain, and Russia.

Presently, Michael was accepted to Curtis Institute of Music and will be studying piano with Robert McDonald. He donates his time volunteering recitals at local retirement communities, attends the opera, and enjoys accompanying opera singers as well as playing chamber music.
