A native of Shanghai, China, violinist Lun Li has been studying violin for fourteen years. He currently attends the Curtis Institute of Music under the tutelage of Ida Kavafian and is the Jean J. In 2012, as a result of winning Second Prize in the Second Haydn Chamber Competition in Shanghai, his quartet was invited to perform at the Helsinki Music Centre Festival. He has participated in master classes with Arnold Steinhardt, Zakhar Bron, Midori Goto, and Pierre Amoyal. He joined the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra in 2017, where he served as the Concertmaster under conductor Jun Märkl. Lun Li currently plays a violin made in 1903 by Gustave Adolphe Bernardel, on generous loan from the Rin Collection in Singapore.
