Violinist Katherine Arndt, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, is a full-time student at the Yale School of Music, where she is pursuing her master of music under the tutelage of Ani Kavafian. A recent graduate of New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Miriam Fried, Arndt is an avid chamber musician, soloist, and orchestral musician. She has participated in numerous prestigious music festivals, including IMS Prussia Cove, Taos School of Music, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, the Perlman Music Program, the Four Seasons Winter Workshop, the Sarasota Music Festival, and the Heifetz International Music Institute. She was also recently chosen as an active participant in the Kronberg Master Classes and Concerts at the Kronberg Academy in Germany, studying with Ana Chumachenco, and was featured in a master class with Midori in Boston’s Jordan Hall sponsored by Boston’s Celebrity Series. She was also a guest performer with the Borromeo String Quartet and Boston Trio. Kate Arndt has been fortunate to collaborate with many renowned artists, including David Shifrin, Colin Carr, Robert McDonald, Ida Kavafian, and Misha Amory.
