After an exhilarating week of chamber music, the final Prelude Performance of the week took place at 3:30 p.m., showcasing the exciting young artists of the Chamber Music Institute’s International Program. Free and open to the public, these concerts offer an ideal setting for new listeners and young audiences to discover great music and join in the festival experience. The July 30 Prelude featured Mozart’s Violin Sonata in B-flat Major, K. 454, and Schumann’s elegant Piano Trio no. 2 in F Major.
Later on Sunday violinist Danbi Um gave a Carte Blanche Concert in Stent Family Hall. Partnered by pianist Orion Weiss, making his Music@Menlo debut, Danbi offered a program of music that she holds closest to her heart, true to the artist curated and designed format of Music@Menlo’s Carte Blanches.« Young Performers and French Luminaries   || How to Talk to Your Violin Maker »
