Scott Pingel

Scott Pingel became Principal Bassist of the San Francisco Symphony in 2004 after serving for two years as Principal Bassist of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the St. Lawrence String Quartet, and the New World Symphony and has served as Guest Principal of the National Arts Center Orchestra in Canada. Additionally, he has participated in the Tanglewood, Spoleto, Verbier, and Salzburg festivals and is on faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
