As a complement to the final 2016/17 Winter Series concert, Music@Menlo is pleased to offer a special opportunity to explore the evening's repertoire.
Join musicologist and lecturer Kai Christiansen on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m., for an in-depth exploration of the music that will be presented at the subsequent concert. He will be joined by Andy Akiho, the composer of Lost on Chiaroscuro Street, which features on the program, who will discuss the ideas, inspiration and composition process behind this eclectic groundbreaking piece. The concert's other works, Ravel's String Quartet in a minor, and Messiaen's complex masterwork Quartet for the End of Time will also be explored.
Admittance is free with a ticket for the concert, but space is limited. Please complete the information below to reserve your places.
